Customizable design of multiple-biomolecule delivery platform for enhanced osteogenic responses via ‘tailored assembly system’

Porous titanium (Ti) scaffolds have been extensively utilized as bone substitute due to their superior biocompatibility and excellent mechanical properties. However, naturally formed TiO2 on the surface limits fast osseointegration. Different biomolecules widely overcome this issue; however, homogeneous porous Ti could not simultaneously deliver multiple that different release behaviors. In study, functionally graded (FGPTs) with dense inner outer parts were fabricated using a two-body combination densification procedure. FGPTs growth factor (BMP-2) antibiotics (TCH) exhibited suitable properties substituting material presented good structural stability. The of BMP-2 was considerably prolonged, whereas TCH comparable homogenous (control group). osteogenic differentiation obtained maintained prolonged BMP-2. antimicrobial these verified S. aureus in terms prior time. addition, various candidates for altered pore characteristics presented.
